Betty Jo Friese passed from this life into eternal life one hour into the New Year after a brief, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Betty leaves to mourn her passing, but celebrate the blessing of her life, husband Michael Friese of the home in Guthrie, youngest son Micah Shaun Friese, and wife Amanda and their children Dylan Gabriel (14) and Alivia Grace (12) of Guthrie; middle son Shane Michael Friese and wife Mindi and their children Jack Edward (2) and Echo June (5 mo.) of Littleton, Colorado; eldest son Kyle Edward Blakemore and wife Kristi and their children Braylon Martin (8) and Vivian Mae (5) of Guthrie; and daughter Stacy Michelle Blakemore and spouse Ross Hinckley and their children Blake Jeffrey Maupin (21), Evan Michelle Maupin (18), Riley Thomas Hinckley (19), Calia Jewel Hinckley (15) of Waunakee, Wisconsin; sister Carolyn Jones and husband Rhea of Guthrie, sister Linda Allen and husband Doug of Blanchard, nephew James Jones, niece Angela Lewis and husband Marvel and their children Isabella Lewis and Samantha, Rainey Jo, and Ty Ramsey of Guthrie, niece Toni Donahoo and her children Sage and Valyn Donahoo of Norman, Michael’s large family with many nieces and nephews, and some dear lifelong friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Juanita Weatherford, Michael's parents, Donald and Jacqueline Friese, and nieces Shelly Christine and Kelly Ray Allen.

The family's grief is great because the blessing and influence of Betty's life was so significant. Betty exemplified the Proverbs 31 Virtuous Woman. She was a person of wisdom and industry, a caregiver and mentor, gracious, humble, and talented in countless ways... Our confidence is in the Lord Jesus Christ and the promises of scripture. We trust Betty will be received by the Lord as a faithful servant and be greeted by smiling parents and grandparents, loved family members, and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel.
