Doris Viola Freeman

Born: September 17, 1927
Died: July 19, 2012

Graveside funeral services for Doris Viola Freeman, 84, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2012 at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie with Pastor Don Riepe of Guthrie Christian Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Doris was born on September 17, 1927 in Guthrie to George and LV (Fowler) Taylor. She passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Guthrie.

Doris was an excellent money manager, keeping track of every dime she spent during her lifetime. She was an extremely caring person and lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her brother Melvin Taylor of Guthrie; granddaughter Stacy Lynn Derrera of Greeley, CO; grandson Allen H. Patterson, Jr. of Guthrie; great-grandchildren Kayla Molina and Guy Derrera of Greeley, CO and Alleyna Patterson of Guthrie; great-great-grandchildren Alexander and Christopher of Greeley; and granddaughter-in-law Kim Patterson of Guthrie.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edgar Guy “Cookie” Freeman; daughter Karen Kaye Patterson; and sisters Barbara West, Maxine Cliff, Shirley Moore, Lois Leniger, and Francis Clymer.

Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
