Mervyn Eugene Foster

Born: October 19, 1943
Died: January 21, 2012

Mervyn Eugene Foster, 68, a long-time resident of Cashion, OK and recently from Oklahoma City, OK, passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on January 21, 2012.

Mervyn was born on October 19, 1943, to Lee and Mae Foster of Cashion. He was a graduate of Cashion High School. He was an Avionic Technician for over 40 years and had just recently retired from the FAA.

Mervyn married the love of his life, Jeanne, on July 14, 1963. He was devoted to his family as a loving husband, father, and Papa.

Mervyn is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carroll.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, of 48 years; son, Greg Foster and wife Tami of St. Paul, TX; daughter, Lisa Crockett and husband Joe of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Gina Foster and Tom Rahling of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren: Landon and Logan Wilcox, Tanner and Ashlyn Crockett, Torrin and Cade Foster, Nyc Burns, and Sterling Rahling. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Gregg, several nieces and nephews, as well as his Alberta Creek lake family of Lake Texoma.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
