Ruby Lee Edens

Died: August 13, 2009

Graveside funeral services for Ruby Lee Edens, 74, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2009 at Summit view Cemetery, Guthrie with Chaplain Greg Bennett of Crossroads Hospice, Oklahoma City, OK officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Ruby passed away after a long battle with COPD. She was born on February 6, 1935 in Guthrie to Perry and Emma Mason. She retired from Southwestern Bell in 1993 andfter 23 years of loyal service.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bobby Joe Edens; parents Perry and Emma Mason; and seven sisters Betty Bolenbeck, Anna May Pepmiller, Irene Hopkins, Imogene Lee, Charlotte Terry, Della Ames, and Nellie Stow.

Ruby is survived by four children Bobby Chris Edens and wife Renee of Houston, TX, Carole Lee Apala and husband Brett of Guthrie, John Dewayne Edens of Lawrence, KS, and Kelly Jean Outhouse of Custer City, OK; one sister Leta Sell of Riverton, WY; one sister-in-law Barbara Wyse of Chandler, OK; four granddaughters; one grandson; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
