Gerald Dwayne DuBois
Born: July 25, 1927
Died: May 09, 2008

Gerald D. DuBois, 80, was born in Smith Center, Kansas to Reuben and Mary (Coulson) DuBois, and departed this life on May 9th, 2008 in Guthrie, OK. Gerald retired from the USAir Force in 1969, after 23 years of service. In 1975, Gerald retired from the Guthrie Post Office after completing 17 years of service. Upon his retirement from the Post Office, he faithfully served his community & church through his volunteer work. He is widely-know in Guthrie as the “ticket-man”. He is survived by his loving wife, Naola, of 58 years; a son, Steve DuBois & wife Marsha of Williamston, SC; a daughter, Sandy Hodge and husband Frank of Greenville, SC; two granddaughters, Shelley of Hendersonville, NC & Reagan of Cumming, GA. He is also survived by one brother, Earl DuBois of Guthrie, OK; two sisters, Dorothy Penn of Oklahoma City, OK and Bertha Ratliff of Houston, TX., as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 12, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Guthrie with Pastor Mike DeMoss and Pastor Adrian Pollard officiating. Burial followed at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Guthrie First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. Condolences can be e-mailed to smith-gallo@sbcglobal.net.
