Clara Edna Deadwiley
Born: November 05, 1921
Died: August 01, 2015

Clara "Edna" Deadwiley, 93, of Guthrie, OK, went to rest with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 1, 2015. She was born on November 5, 1921 to James Thomas Coburn and Ida Short Coburn.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William (Rufus) Deadwiley, her daughter Edna Darlene McCamey, her parents and 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Edna was born and raised in Guthrie, and operated a home daycare for many years. One friend said she must have raised every child in town. She also loved OU Football and Basketball, and enjoyed attending games when she was still able to. Edna was also an avid member of the Guthrie Free Methodist Church.

Edna was a beacon of honesty, perseverance and strength. She leaves behind a daughter, Rhonda Edmondson. Edna also leaves behind her remarkably dedicated caregiver and granddaughter, Diana Plagg, whom she spent time with daily and her great- granddaughter Courtney Fincher who was the light of her life. Edna also leaves behind two other grandchildren, Mark McCamey and Sherri McCamey Hall as well as 5 great- grandchildren Shae Colton, Chelsea Phillips, Derek Hall, Mark Darron McCamey and Kayla Hall and 12 great-great- grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday August 7, 2015 at Guthrie Free Methodist Church on 11th & W. Mansur in Guthrie. Commitment services will be held at Summit View Cemetery immediately following.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
