Funeral services for Orval L. Countess, 70, are pending at Davis Funeral Home of Guthrie. Orval was born August 22, 1929. He died Wed., Nov. 17 at Mercy Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral services for Orval Lee Countess, 70, of Guthrie, Okla., will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at Guthrie Christian Church. Bro. Gene Warfel, assisted by Jerry Wamsley, will officiate. Burial will be at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Orval was born August 22, 1929, in Crescent, Okla., to D.C. and Sarah Belle (English) Countess. He died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
Orval had lived in the Crescent and Guthrie areas all his life. He was self-employed and was a member of Guthrie Christian Church.
He married Frances L. Peralta on Feb. 3, 1951, in Guthrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, four brothers and one grandchild.
His is survived by his wife, Frances Countess, of the home; one son, Allen Lee Countess and wife Sue; six daughters, Patsy Hagabusch, Bonnie Hewes and husband Hayden, Cindy Nelson and husband Billy, Sandra Barnett and husband Jimmy, Barbara Adkins, and Linda Perdue; one brother, Vernon Countess and wife Pricilla; one sister, Letha Owens and husband Rolland; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
