Peggy J. Brassard

Died: March 09, 2015

Peggy J. Brassard passed away peacefully on March 9, 2015. She was born on February 25, 1931 to Jake and Ella Henley of Lafollette, TN and was one of nine children. After many years of traveling the globe with husband Joe, during his Air Force career, Peggy and Joe moved to Guthrie, OK in 2003 to be near their son Bill. After Joe passed away, Peggy lived with Bill and his wife Cass, where she spent her final days.

She was tiny, but a firecracker full of life and spirit. That spunk will be missed tremendously. Peggy lost her battle with Dementia / Alzheimer’s in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brassard, son-in-law, John Kiernan, her parents, Jake and Ella Henley, brothers Warren, Bill and Linn Henley, sisters Pauline, Tiny, Florence and Grace.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Kiernan of Guthrie, her son Bill Brassard and wife Cass, of Guthrie, two grandchildren, Jason Brassard and wife Jennifer, of House Springs, MO and Jennifer (Brassard) Sullivan and husband Sean, of Manchester, MO. Peggy has four great- grandchildren, Trevor Brassard, Alyssa Brassard, Kylee Sullivan and Luke Sullivan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She has one surviving sister, Dean Chapman of Virginia.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2015 at Summit View Cemetery with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Viewing will be held Thursday, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
