Graveside services for Vernon Humboldt Blake, 91, of Guthrie, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie. Services will be officiated by Rev. Terry Martindale of First United Methodist Church of Guthrie, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie. Vernon was born Sept. 23, 1908, in Guthrie, to Will and Nell Aden Blake. He died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999 at 89er Guest House in Guthrie. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, John Blake, of Guthrie; one brother, William "Bill" Blake, and wife Shirley, of Guthrie; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999.

He is survived by one son, John Blake of Guthrie; a brother, William "Bill" Blake and wife Shirley of Guthrie; eight grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home until 8 p.m. tonight.
