Ruby Frances Mallett

Ruby Frances Mallett, 96, was born January 20, 1910 in Durham, Oklahoma. She passed away on February 26, 2006 at her daughter's home in Kingfisher, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cashion, Oklahoma. Ruby Webb and Ralph Mallett were married on February 14, 1925 and enjoyed seventy years together. They made their home in Cashion for many years, where Ruby was employed at Cashion Schools in the cafeteria, and later at Gulfstream in Oklahoma City. Ralph and Ruby were blessed with ten children, fifteen grandchildrfen, twenty-one great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, with one on the way. Survivors include Cecil Mallett and wife Delores of Tracey, CA, Joy Stone of Guthrie, Lonnie Mallett and wife Mary of Guthrie, Bennie and wife Bonnie of Cashion, Betty Simon and husband Leo, of Kingfisher, Wayne Mallett and wife Dwaina of Edmond, and Tommy Mallett and wife Melna of Edmond. Surviving siblings; Ralph Webb, Gerald Dee Webb, and Belle Daniels, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph, her daughters, Virginia and Carol Sue, her son Don, sons-in-law, Lyle Byrns, Bob Stone, and Kenny Vanderpool, one daughtger-in-law, Rosemary Mallett, one brother, Louis Webb, her eight sisters, Clara Howrad, Elsie Harris, Esther Paisley, Christina Ferguson, Ramona Williams, Priscilla Decker, Mavis Eddy, and Lois Bond.
Ruby will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1st at First Christian Church in Cashion, with burial following at Seward Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Russell-Murray Hospice Inc., 221 South Bickford, El Reno, OK 73036.
Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.
