Loran E. Haggard, 66, Guthrie, passed away at Edmond Specialty Hospital Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003.
Graveside service will be held at Seward Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie, with Rev. Van Hudson officiating.
Loran was born Jan. 16, 1937,. in San Diego, Calif. to Purl T. and Gladys C. (Gaye) Haggard. He was married to Bessie Doralynn (Robinson) Haggard Aug. 27, 1955, in Miami, Okla. He had lived in Guthrie for the past 23 years after moving here from Spencer, MO, in 1980. He had been a truck driver most of his life and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Guthrie.
He is survived by two sons: Dale Haggard and his wife Debbie of Guthrie, and Greg Hagard and his partner Art of Dallas, Texas, one daughter Dora Lynn Hill and her husband Martin of Guthrie,; two brothers; Lloyd Haggard and his wife Margaret of Webb City, MO, and Doran Haggard and his wife Ila of Neosho, MO, and one sister Doreen Nelson and her husband ASllen of Joplin, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren Stephanie and Amy Hill, and Christopher and Jessica Haggard, and two great-grandhildren: Austin & MaKayla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Haggard, his parents, and one brother Floyd Haggard.
