Ruth Agnes Betchan

Guthrie – Services for Ruth Agnes Betchan, 65, who died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital, will be at 2 PM Tuesday in the first Christian Church at Mulhall with the Rev. Kenneth Woodward officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Betchan was born November 29, 1920, in Logan County to H. D. and Elizabeth Fent. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at First Christian Church at Mulhall, a Stanley unit sales leader, member of Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge and 50-year member of the Worthwhile Club.

On November 11, 1936, she married Charlie Betchan.

Surviving are her husband, of the home; three sons, Frank and Bill, Guthrie, and Bob, Spencer; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her mother, Elizabeth Fent, Guthrie; two sisters, Leona Oak, Eufaula and Cleo McAllister, Carson, California; three brothers, Richard Fent, Mulhall, Melvin Fent, Luther and Raymond Fent, Wyandotte..
