Funeral Services for Jack B. Tully age 80 of Crescent, OK (formerly of Chickasha) will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Smith-Gallow Funeral Home in Guthrie, Okla.. Jack was born April 4, 1929, in Wynette, Okla, to John and Pauline Tully. He died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at the Logan County Hospital in Guthrie.Jack married Betty J. Evans Feb. 12, 1950, in El Reno. They then made their home in Chickasha, where they raised three children. While in Chickasha, Jack established his own business, Tully's Bakery, a place that many people in Chickasha still remember today. For the next 35 years, Jack, Betty, and numerous other family members enjoyed the opportunity to work in the family business. While in Chickasha, Jack was a member of the Elk's Club, The Chickasha Country Club, and the Masons of Chickasha. He loved playing baseball and watching any kind of sport that was on TV. He participated in competition Skeet Shooting and Bowling. He was an avid duck and deer hunter, always anxiously waiting the next Tully men's Thanksgiving hunting trip to the Kiamichi Mountains for the annual camping and hunting holiday. After retiring and moving to Crescent, OK. in 1999, Jack and Betty both enjoyed the quiet, peacefulness of Twin Lakes. Jack enjoyed sitting on their porch for countless hours, slowly and patiently training squirrels and raccoons to eat from his hand or from the pocket of his shirt. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Tully, and two brothers, Norman and Debs Tully. Jack loved his family. Survivors include: his wife Betty, of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Dan Andrews of Oklahoma City; daughter, Debbie Tully of Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Marcia Tully of Moore. Jack has five grandchildren: Jennifer and husband Keith Cunningham of Oklahoma City; Michelle and husband Kip Fowler of Chickasha; Erica and husband Matt Hogan of Cost Rica; David Tully and wife Tabitha of Lindale, TX; and Derek Tully of Moore. Jack also enjoyed his three great-grandchildren, Lenli and Landon Cunningham of Oklahoma City and Kaden Fowler of Chickasha. Interment will be at the Crescent Cemetery.

Funeral services for Jack B. Tully, 80, of Crescent, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Smith Memorial Chapel, Guthrie, OK with Pastor Hank Lea of Twin Lakes Memorial Chapel, Crescent officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery, Crescent. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Jack was born on April 4, 1929 in Wanette, OK to John and Pauline (Denson) Tully. He passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 in Guthrie.

Jack married Betty June Evans on February 11, 1950 in El Reno, OK.

He was a hard-working man. He had his Social Security card at age 10 and started working at bakeries. He opened his own business, Tully’s Bakery in Chickasha, OK which he operated for 35 years. He lived his final days in Crescent surrounded by the family he loved.

Jack was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Guthrie Scottish Rite, Past Master of Chickasha Lodge #94, Past Worthy Patron of Marion Chapter in Chickasha, and he received his 50 year pin from the Guthrie Scottish Rite.

He was active in hunting, fishing, and playing softball. He was also a champion trap shooter, coached many a young boy in baseball, and loved animals.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Betty Tully of the home; one son David Jack Tully; two daughters Cheryl Dianne Andrews and Debra June Tully; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many who loved him.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents and brothers.

Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
