Myrtle Ina Tarrant
(April 18, 1916 - May 25, 2007)


Myrtle Ina Tarrant died May 25, 2007 in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 7 days. She was born April 18, 1916 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to Elmer and Minnie (Lambert) Sowles. On January 21, 1938 she married Leslie Tarrant in Guthrie, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on November 27, 1984.

Myrtle was a member of the Rebecka Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and work in her flower beds and grew beautiful roses. Myrtle loved to be with her family, especially her grandkids.

Survivor include three sons, Harry Tarrant and wife Karen of Crescent, George Tarrant and wife Carmen of Guthrie and Claude Tarrant and wife Dorothy of Crescent; three daughters, Ina Richards and husband Bob of Crescent, Evelyn Simpson and husband Bill of Crescent and Darlene Tharp of Choctaw; three sisters, Lela Goodnight of Enid, Virginia Tunis of Garber and Marthella Gaye Tyler of Tulsa; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 Graveside at the Oakland - Knowles Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Haynes officiating. Services under the direction of Abernathy - Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Condolences may be sent to the family at abernathyaaron.com
