The funeral for Betty Lou Roney, 80, of Crescent , will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at Church of Christ, Crescent . Burial will be in Oakland Knowles Cemetery . Arrangements are by Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home, Crescent . The guestbook may be signed at abernathyaaron.com. She was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Mulhall to Luther Herbert and Winnifred Lucile McCraken Branson and died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at her home.

She worked for Ross Jones and later for Tom Edgar as an assistant pharmacist.

Surviving are one son, Jay Roney of Crescent ; one sister, Emma Gay Sieber of Hennessey; four brothers, Luther Branson of Crescent , David Branson of Edmond, Emmitt Branson of Crescent and Melvin Branson of Kingfisher.

She was preceded in death by her estranged husband, Ray.
