Freda B. Jones
(March 25, 1927 - May 8, 2014)

Freda B. Jones was born March 25, 1927 in Noble County, OK to Fred and Mabel (Smith) Kite. She passed away May 8, 2014 in Lawton, OK at the age of 87 years. Freda attended Garber High School where she was a member of the band and the Honor Society. She graduated from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, TN in 1946. She lived there until 1963 when she returned to live in Oklahoma. She worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses throughout her life. She retired from Craig Ayers Chevrolet in Edmond. She especially enjoyed cooking, reading, and sewing. She was a wonderful cook and she loved to feed everyone. She was an avid collector of bells. Her extensive collection included many from all over the world and were given to her by friends and family. She also served as a state officer for the Rebekahs while living in Tennessee.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Virginia Wilczek of Hitchock, OK. Survivors include two daughters Jacquie Wilmoth of Duncan and Barbara Young of Lawton, OK and three sons Charles F. Walker (Debbie) of Newport News, VA., Frank A. Jones, Jr (Vanessa) of Houston, TX and Robert Jones (Robbie) of Claremore, OK; two sisters Billie K. Evans of Knoxville, TN, and Dora Mollica of Grass Valley, CA; a brother Robert L. Kite (Nancy) of Lynchburg, VA; her grandchildren, Sherilyn Gibbs (Kirk) of Duncan, John Wilmoth (Angela) of Lawton, Melissa Lynn (Patrick) El Paso, TX, Catherine Otey (Kent) of Edmond, Gregory Wilmoth of North Carolina, Misty Jones and Tonya Jones of Sand Springs, Melody Jones of Edmond, Shelia Jones, Blake Jones, Kendra Jones all of Houston, TX., Thomas Jones (Kelsey) of Oolaga, Cassandra Ozbun (Matthew) of Claremore, Rickie Sue Edwards (John) of West Point, VA and Jessie Walker (Sheriff Burgos) of Virginia Beach, VA, Michelle Young, Dudley Young and Billy Young of Oklahoma; numerous great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Oakland - Knowles Cemetery in Crescent under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home. Viewing will be 11:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. There will be a gathering of family and friends following the services at the Assembly of God Church at Broadway and Jefferson in Crescent.
