ENID - Funeral for Lawrence James, 80, will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oakland-Knowles Cemetery. Arrangements by Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home, Crescent.

Lawrence was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Guthrie to Elmer and Thelma (Speaks) James and died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in Guthrie.

Surviving are wife, Olletta; sons, Larry James, Terry James, Brad James, Mike James, Troy James and Marty James; stepson, Terry Matthews; brother, Clarence James; half-brother, Vernon James; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Melva, one daughter, one half-brother and two grandchildren.
