Marilyn J. Galloway
(August 9, 1938 - December 31, 2007)


Marilyn Johnetta Galloway went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 31, 2007 at her home in Crescent, Oklahoma. Marilyn was born August 9, 1938 to William and Dorothy (Grisham) Vickers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Noel Galloway on January 23, 1955 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Marilyn graduated from Nursing School in 1970 as an LPN. She loved being a nurse and continued her nursing career for 32 years. Together she and Noel had 5 children and they settled in Crescent in 1977. Marilyn enjoyed fishing, camping and singing in the choir. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Crescent. Her laughter and smile will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include, her husband of 52 years, Noel of the home; five children, Joe Galloway and wife Sharyn of Morrison, Oklahoma, Denise Phillips of Crescent, Tom Galloway and wife Sheryl of Drumright, Oklahoma, Ron Galloway and wife Kathy of Ponca City, Oklahoma and David Galloway of Crescent; one brother, one sister, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Denny Vickers and one sister, Barbra Murata.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2008 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Keith Gordon officiating, burial will follow in the Oakland – Knowles Cemetery in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church in Crescent.
