Melvin Leon Davis of Crescent, Oklahoma joined his wife Bessie on Thursday, November 25, 2010 in heaven to celebrate 65 years of marriage.

Melvin is survived by 5 sons and 1 daughter, Steve and wife Becky, Clifford and wife Alice, Frank and wife Debbie, Travis and wife Patriece, David and wife Renae, Linda and husband Dale, 23 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bessie, and a grandson Aaron Paul Davis.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Crescent with Rev. Steve Black and Rev. Jim Flick officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland-Knowles Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Crescent.
