Clifton Channel was born August 20, 1936 to Arch and Cora Channel on the family farm near Crescent, OK. He attended Crescent Public Schools. He passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Guthrie, OK.

In 1954, he married Lou Ann Harrod. The couple resided in Guthrie for 13 years before moving to a farm near Guthrie.

During his lifetime, he worked many jobs such as an oilfield worker, mechanic and chief of maintenance at the old Guthrie hospital for many years. His first love was his farming and ranching operation. He served on the Logan County Conservation Board for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Channel of the home; three sons, Paul (Rose Marie) of Marlow, OK, Don (Sheila) of Guthrie, and Darron (Kim) of Eufaula, OK; five grandchildren, Doug Channel of Duncan, OK, Blake Channel of Duncan, Hilary Maddox of Edmond, OK, Mandy Mize of Guthrie, and Bo Channel of Eufaula; five great-grandchildren, Conner, Jena, Nathan, and Kamrie of Duncan and Macy Mize of Guthrie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral services for Clifton will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland - Knowles Cemetery in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Monday, 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the family receiving guests between 5:00 - 7:00 P.M.
