July 21, 1932 - June 7, 2017

Jessie May Payne, age 84 of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away June 7, 2017 in Shawnee. She was born on July 21, 1932 in Tryon, Oklahoma to Walter and Marie Scott.

Jessie attended Britton Schools in Britton, Oklahoma. She was in Band and All State in Tennis. Jessie had lived in Guthrie since 1960 and moved to Seminole in 2005. She was employed with J.C. Penney Company and retired in 1997.

Survivors include her son Larry Payne and wife Cathy of Guthrie, 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Heath, Jenny, Heather, Sean and Megan and 6 great grandchildren, Rowan, Andrew, Logan, Ethan, Ryder and Hadley. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loren Dewayne Payne in 1995, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Coyle, Oklahoma with Pastor Bobby Garringer officiating.

Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
