Services are pending with Abernathy Funeral Home in Crescent for Booker E. Davis, 81, of Crescent.
Davis was born April 1, 1921 in Wetumka. He died March 30, 2003 in Guthrie.

Funeral services for Booker Earl Davis, 81, of Crescent will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2003 at Lighthouse Church of God and Christ with the Rev. Edwin House officiating. Interment will follow in Oakgrove Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home in Crescent.
Davis was born April 1, 1921 in Wetumka to Giles Davis, Sr. and Winnie Davidson. He died March 30, 2003 in Guthrie.
Booker enjoyed life to the fullest in a quiet and gentle way. His way of resting was working - doing something all of the time. He kept to himself much of the time, not bothering anyone, but yet there to help whoever he could. Booker worked at the Oklahoma Furniture Manufactory for several years before retiring in May 1983.
Survivors include one daughter, Carmella Davis of Oklahoma City; one son, Martin Davis of Crescent; two brothers, Matthew Davis, Sr. of Crescent and Giles Davis, Jr. of Crescent; one sister, Christine Smart of Crescent; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
