Jimmy Lavern Clymer, Jr. 55, died peacefully in Edmond, OK, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. He was born July 2, 1962 in Guthrie, OK, to Jimmy Clymer Sr. and Carolyn (Weatherford) Lynn.

Jimmy graduated from Guthrie High School in the class of 1980. Jimmy met Sally in Guthrie and they married on July 13, 2001 and continued to raise the children together in Edmond. Jimmy worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 25 plus years.

The one thing Jimmy loved the most was his growing family. The kids and grandkids were the light of his life. Jimmy had Sally for support through everything. Friends and family could find Jimmy at the house by the lake with the dogs, Milo and Lucy by his side. Jimmy loved to relax outdoors and fishing, hunting and making the perfect bonfire. If they weren't at the lake, Jimmy and Sally were cheering on the Sooners. He would light up with passion talking about OU football and God. Even though they were at the lake, they would always make the Sunday service. Jimmy's choice of working at Tinker Air Force Base comes from his respect for the military and honoring others service for our country.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents and his Aunt Alice, Aunt Jewel, and Aunt Louise. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sally of the home and his children, Lindsey, Allison, Chase, and Maranda, and step-daughter Elyse. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and by his parents, Jim Clymer, Sr. and Carolyn Lynn and his three sisters, and one brother. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and his two best friends, Milo and Lucy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 27, 2017 at Smith Memorial Chapel in Guthrie with Pastor Ronald Paul Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

Closed casket visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.
