Graveside funeral services for Dwight Webb Wehr, 79, were held on July 15, 2008 at Morris Heights Cemetery near Orlando, OK. He died July 12, 2008 in Oklahoma City, OK. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

He was born September 16, 1928 near Orlando, where he was also raised, to Francis L. Wehr and Ruth Webb. Dwight and Peggy Kiespert were married on November 11, 1954 in Guthrie where they still resided.

Dwight served in the U.S. Army 1950 -1952; he served in Korea with the 45th Infantry Division. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1986-after thirty-five years of service. Since his retirement he has devoted his time to his farm and cattle.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Peggy of the home; three brothers, John Wehr of Edmond, OK, Dale Wehr of Perry, OK, and Joe Wehr of Perry; three sisters, Myrna Lemon and Elaine Thedford both of Enid, OK and Marion LaRue and husband Bill of Edmond; ten nieces and nephews, Steve and Robert LaRue, Stanley and Phillip York, Kelly Lemon, Marian Phillips, Teni Smith, Kent Thedford, Tori Mote, and Johna Riley; and three special cousins, Doyle Webb, Bill Webb, and Charles Webb.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents and a cousin, Burrell Webb.

He loved his animals, especially Dolly and Suzie. He enjoyed breakfast each morning with his cousins and friends. He was a special brother and a friend to many. His generosity and kindness will be missed by all.
