Dennis Dwayne Snelson
Born: April 10, 1954
Died: September 26, 2012

Dennis Dwayne Snelson was born April 10, 1954 in Oklahoma City, OK to Dwayne and Norma (Varley) Snelson. He attended school in Enid, OK and Guthrie, OK and graduated from Guthrie in 1972.

Dennis married Janet Smith in 1975. They had one son, Robert Cole in 1981. They made their home in Meridian, OK.

Dennis worked in the oil fields, was self-employed burying cable, and had his own landscaping business in West Memphis, AR where he was awarded Contractor of the Year for two years in a row. After returning to Oklahoma, he buried telephone service drops for Bentley Service Co.

Dennis is survived by his wife Janet; son Robbie; mother Norma of Oklahoma City; two sisters Robin Snelson of Sherman Oaks, CA and Lori Clark and husband Tom of Tulsa, OK; two brothers Chris Snelson and Joe Snelson both of Oklahoma City; and two granddaughters Ava and Preslee of Wewoka, OK. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Dwayne and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gwen Stewart of Life by Faith Church of Meridian officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

At the family's request, the casket will not be open at any time.
