Services are pending at Community Funeral Home for Owen "O. T." Taylor, 46, of Guthrie. Taylor died Friday, July 11, 2003 at Baptist Integris Health Center in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services for Owen "OT" Taylor, 46 of Guthrie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Community Funeral Home chapel in Guthrie with the Rev. Andrew Gilstrap officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Memorial Park under the direction of Community Funeral Home.
Taylor was born August 28, 1956 in Guthrie to Amos and Minnie (Smith) Taylor. He died July 11, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
"OT" attended Guthrie Public Schools and lived in Guthrie all his life. He was a sanitation worker for the City of Guthrie. He loved to go fishing. He was very friendly, funny, and a helpful person to all who knew him. He will be loved and missed by all.
Survivors include his mother, Minnie Taylor; one son, Owen Justin Michael Maits of Guthrie; one daughter, Beathany Marie Taylor of Guthrie; three brothers, Amos Smith and wife Becky and Edward Powell, all of Guthrie and Leslie Powell and wife Debbie Shawnee and three sisters, Laura Smith, Rose Taylor and Daisy Powell and husband Leonard, all of Guthrie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Taylor, Sr. and one sister, Rovena Taylor.
