Goldie Mahar passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. She was born November 2, 1924 in Guthrie, OK, to Roy and Effie Muzingo.

Goldie graduated from Guthrie High School in 1943. She married Melvin Mahar August 30, 1950 and they had 2 children, Paul and Nancy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, son, Paul, and daughter-in-law, Pati, sister, Mary Ann Wright, and both parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Montgomery and husband, Buddy of Guthrie. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tammy Doane and husband, Benny, Michelle Hamby, Mark Wright and wife, Jennifer all of Guthrie, Sarah Hillian and husband James and Greg Mahar, all of Oklahoma City, OK. Goldie had 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
