Tracy Lynn Flury
Tracy Lynn Flury

August 20, 1962 - April 29, 2017

Tracy Lynn Flury went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born to Jody and Glenda Flury on August 20, 1962 in Newport Beach, California.

She returned to Guthrie, Oklahoma with her parents in 1963 when her dad had finished his tour of duty in the United States Marine Corp.

She grew up in Guthrie, attending Guthrie Schools through graduation. She loved swimming and lifeguarding at the pool in the summers and softball and twirling with her friends.

After graduation, she spent a year at OSU and then she pursued a career in Culinary Arts at Essex Community College in Baltimore, Maryland. She lived and worked there for several years with her friends Connie and Woody Burritt.

She perfected her restaurant skills and moved back to Guthrie in 1992 and started her family in 1993 when her first daughter, Jodi KaLynn was born. She operated Bob's White Rock for several years before managing the Masters Restaurant at Cimmaron National Golf Course and Cedar Valley as well. At this point in her life, she added to her family in 2006 with a second daughter Alexa Rhiannon Wyman.

In 2015, she added a granddaughter, Alice Parker to her family and 2017 finally brought her a grandson, Jaxon. Her kids and grandkids were the love of her life.

Tracy loved life and her friends and family. She would always go that extra mile for those in need. If she called you friend, you had a friend indeed. She loved the Lord and drew her strength from Him.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Klem and Elma Went of Perry, Oklahoma; Almira and Tom Seal; Joe Flury; and Uncle Charles "Choc" Branscum, all of Guthrie.

Tracy is survived by her parents, Jody and Glenda Flury of Guthrie; her two daughters, Jodi Parker (Jacob), Alice and Jaxon Parker and Alexa Wyman; one sister, Tarey Coldren and husband, Dave; two nephews, T.J. and Austin Larsen; as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Robby Robbins officiating. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 11:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. The casket will not be open at any time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to God's Food Bank, P.O. Box 114, Guthrie, OK 73044.
