Patricia (Pat) Lynn LeGate Maker, 73, passed away December 26th, 2020. She was born May 8th, 1947 in Kansas City, MO, the Show Me State.

Pat graduated from Central State University in 1985 with a bachelors in English. She then continued on to receive her Masters and to teach at the college level for over 20 years mostly at Langston University. Pat married her husband Mark Maker on July 7th, 1998 in Arkansas. After retirement she and Mark began their journey in raising and showing boer goats on their farm in Wellston, OK. She enjoyed teaching, spending time with her many grandchildren, her many hobbies including photography and jewelry making, building her many business ventures, and spending time with her husband whom she loved dearly. Her strong will and unique personality has touched many people in her time on this earth and she will forever be missed.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Cecil LeGate, her granddaughter Dawnalynn Long, and her Uncle Clyde Teuscher.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Mark; four children, Barry Gatlin and Mendalynn Gatlin and her significant other Dionicio Alfonso of Guthrie, OK, Craig Maker of Lawton, OK and Ivan Maker of Edmond, OK. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Ivins and husband Jim Ivins, along with their daughter Stacy. She has five grandchildren; Kristal Kelty, Alisha Talamasey, Sandra Segura and her husband Eduardo Segura, Jarret Long, and Katlin Long. She also has four great-grandchildren; Zaibren Long, Caile Long, Wyatt Long, and to be born of, Sandra and Eduardo, Teuscher Damon Segura.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M, Thursday, December 31st, 2020 at McKinley Cemetery in Meridian, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
