Dorothy Opal Shaw, age 98 of Guthrie Oklahoma passed away on April 2, 2021. She was born on December 4, 1922 to Curtis and Pearl (Jarllis) Fent in Topeka, Kansas.

Dorothy lived most of her life in Logan County. She married William Walter Shaw on June 9, 1941 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She worked for Lyntone Belt Company as a seamstress and attended the First Christion Church. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, sewing, canning, making homemade rolls and gardening.

Survivors include her four children, Robert Shaw and wife Barbara of Edmond, Dorothy Janet Dixon of Guthrie, Lily Ilene Drye and husband Victor of Crescent and Vickie Pearl Haney of Guthrie. She is also survived by her sister Bertha Oswald of Enid, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband William Walter Shaw in 2000.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hayes Funeral Home with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrie Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
