CRESCENT - The funeral for Russell L .Wilson, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Crescent Cemetery, under direction of Abernathy Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1909, in Crescent to George and Nancy Glass Wilson and died Saturday, May 21, 1994, at the Crescent Care Center. He was a retired farmer. He also worked for Logan County District 3 for 18 years. He married Velma Murry Sept. 27, 1929 , in Perkins. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Crescent.

Surviving are his wife, Velma of the home; two sisters, Anna Yenzer and Dovie Drye, both of Crescent.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church , Crescent.
