Georgia "Kat" Kathrine Watts
((February 27, 1920 - February 1, 2010)

Georgia Kathrine Watts was born February 27, 1920 in Crescent, Oklahoma to L.Y. and Georgia Alice (Bell) Payne. She passed away on February 1, 2010 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.

Kathrine was born and raised west of Crescent. On May 20, 1936 she married William Sy Watts in Crescent, he preceded her in death on April 18, 2008. Kat worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a Civil Worker for many years before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Crescent. She loved to sing and listen to music, especially her granddaughters. Kat also loved to go to yard sales, playing cards, dominos, painting and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include, one son, Larry Watts and wife Clara of Crescent; one sister, LaVerne DeJarnett of Willington, KS; four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sy, one son, Loren Watts, one granddaughter, Yvonna Simpson, one great grandson, Jared Welch, and by two sisters, Ruth Rhodes and Lorraine Davis.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 5, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Crescent with Rev. Steve Black and Dr. Bryan Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
