Peggy Lyles
(June 25, 1927 - April 28, 2006)

Peggy Lyles, 78, passed away on April 28, 2006. She was born June 25, 1927, in Garber, Oklahoma, to Jim and Blanche McKaig. She graduated from Crescent High School. She married Kenneth Lyles in September, 1944. Kenneth's career in the oil industry began in Oklahoma and took them to Venezuela and Libya. They lived overseas for 18 years and returned to Crescent when Kenneth retired in 1975. Peggy enjoyed golf, bridge, and travel. She had a lively sense of humor and was a delightful companion. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband and her two children, Jill Snively and Jack Lyles. She is survived by her brother, Jack McKaig and his wife Mary Ann of Crescent; Nephew Michael McKaig of Nacogdoches, Texas; Niece Patricia Smith and her husband Bruce of Edmond; Patty and Bruce's sons Brandon Smith of Oklahoma City and Tanner Smith and his wife Julie of Springdale, Arkansas and Sister-in-law Hazel Gallaher of Crescent. Services were Monday May 1, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. Graveside at the Crescent Cemetery with Pastor Keith Gordon officiating, under the direction of Abernathy - Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
