Leo W. Lowder
(May 8, 1923 - August 16, 2006)

Leo W. Lowder, 83, of Crescent, OK passed from this life on Aug. 16, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born May 8, 1923 in Navina, OK to Ray and Lydia Hasler Lowder. He married Florence Brown on April 3, 1943 in Guthrie, OK. Leo was self-employed all his life. He was a member of the Crescent First United Methodist Church and a Veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. Leo loved to buy and work on Chevy Pickups. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence of the home ; 2 sons, Dennis Lowder and wife, Barbara, Jack Lowder and wife, Shayna; 4 sisters, Betty Moore, Elma Lowe, Shirley Shepard, Thelma Newburn; 1 sister-in-law, Edith Lowder; 7 grandchildren, Leah & Brent Mills, Brian & Julie Lowder, Brandon & Liz Lowder, Leslie & Michele, Bradley, Justin and Jennifer Lowder; 7 great-grandchildren: Meredith Mills, Sutton Mills, Parker Mills, Caleb Lowder, Lydia Lowder, Piper Lowder and Keily Lowder; He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Bob Lowder. Funeral Services were Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Crescent with Rev. Roger Pitt officiating, burial was in Crescent Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy – Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
