Fannie Elizabeth Griggs
(January 18, 1920 - April 5, 2008)

Fannie Elizabeth Griggs, 88, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008 at her home in Crescent, Oklahoma where she had lived for the past 50 years. She was born January 18, 1920 to Richard W. and Alta (Fleming) Mann at Konawa, Oklahoma, the second of 12 children. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband, Ira J. Griggs; sister, Elnora Robertson and two brothers, William R. “Bill” and Joel C. Mann. She is survived by 4 sisters, Dorothy Gieger of Elberta, AL, Gloria McCollum of Wilmington, CA, Sally Carr of Ada, OK and Oleta Everett of Galt, CA; 4 brothers, Burton Mann of Wilmington, CA, Wiley Mann of Oklahoma City, Harold Mann of Ada, OK and David Lewis Mann of Poteau, OK; children, John Griggs of Crescent, Robert Griggs and wife Donna of Cashion, Patricia Oliver and husband David of Oklahoma City, Betty Killough and Sharon Kirkpatrick both of Crescent; 10 grandchildren, Chris Oliver, Carrie Oliver O’Brien, Robbie and Jon Michael Griggs, Angela Griggs Milam, Tommy and Scott Killough, Karen Kirkpatrick Truitt, Kimberly Kirkpatrick and Karl Kirkpatrick; 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 11, 2008 graveside at Crescent Cemetery with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.

The family would like to thank Rikki (nurse) and Alan with Physician’s Choice Hospice for their loving care.
