Glenn Harrison Brock
(October 30, 1927 - August 28, 2014)

Glenn Harrison Brock was born October 30, 1927 in rural Crescent, Oklahoma to Clyde Harrison and Opal Henryetta (Houck) Brock. He passed away August 28, 2014 at his home in Crescent at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 29 days.

Glenn was born and raised in the Crescent Area and brought up a farmer’s child. His first job was mowing at the Eason Gas Plant. He then worked several jobs at Davon Oil and Santa Fe Railroad. On June 5, 1945 he married the love of his life June Linville. In 1949 he went to work at Favor Chevrolet in the service department and worked until 1959 when he opened a service station, which he ran until 1962. In the early months of 1962 Glenn and Leo Stanfill partnered to buy the Chevrolet dealership and changed the name to Stanfill - Brock Chevrolet. He eventually sold his share of the business in 1967. Glenn then opened Brock’s Auto Supply and operated it for 12 years until 1980. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at Lake Texoma. Glenn fished and boated with his family and friends from 1957 until last year. He helped rebuild the Rock Creek Resort after if was destroyed by a tornado and became a special place to him having many family reunions there. He was a 21-year Veteran of the Crescent Fire Department.

Glenn was above all honest. He would tell you the truth whether you want to know the truth or not, but if you listen it will make you better. He was tough. He was an encourager. He was a counselor. He was as hard working as they come. He was smart. He was a guide. He cared about doing things right, the first time. His advice was as sound as a foundation. He respected and certainly deserved respect.

Survivors include his wife, June of the home; two daughters, Glennda Lacey and husband Gilbert of Central City, CO and Tresia Henry of Chickasha, Oklahoma; six sisters, Vergie Barnett, Wanda Crook, Clydean Williams, Rosie Rogers, Bonnie Stuckwish, and Donna Huge; four grandchildren, Tonya Jones, Jessie Wane Hicks, Kyle Lacey, and Ann Warren; ten great grandchildren, Carissa Upchurch, Whitney Jones, Mikael Hicks, Sarah Hicks, Hannah Hicks, Jacob Hicks, Lathan Hicks, Taylor Henson, Jordi Warren, and Hannah Warren and by six great great grandchildren.
