Charles Ray Dobson

Died: July 23, 2009

Funeral services for Charles Ray Dobson, 58, of Weatherford, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Smith Memorial Chapel, Guthrie, OK with Elder Joe Dobson and Elder David Dobson of United Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Coyle Cemetery, Coyle, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Charles was born on November 16, 1950 in Guthrie to Elmer R. and Joan B. (Ragain) Dobson. He died Thursday, July 23, 2009 in Weatherford.

Charles worked for the Department of Transportation for over 18 years, most recently as Transportation Equipment Operator. Prior to working for the state, he worked in the oil fields as a driller for over 20 years.

He is survived by one daughter Charla Brunton and husband Bryan and their daughter Brylee of Albany, OH; two sons Chance Dobson of Midland, TX and Chris Dobson and wife Jennifer and their children Eden, Haleigh, Michael, and Kaylee of Weatherford; two brothers Joe Dobson and wife Pat of Olathe, KS and David Dobson and wife Denise of Athens, AL; one sister Jill Simmons and husband Bert of Coyle; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.

Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Monday until 8:00 p.m.
