Freda Mae Stein Mullendore

Freda Mae (Stein) Mullendore was born September 14, 1937 in Wellston to Martin and Dora (White) Stein. She passed away January 10, 2024 in her home in Wellston at the age of 86.

Freda grew up in Wellston attending school at Captain Creek eventually continuing her education at Wellston. She graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1955 following 12 years of perfect attendance.

Freda was a farmer's wife and homemaker who enjoyed cooking. Her sons never had trouble getting their friends to help in the hay field because they knew Freda would show up in the field with a delicious home cooked meal. She enjoyed collected stamps and crafting ceramics. She loved baking cookies by the dozens which her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoyed.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Dora Stein; husband of 65 years, Eugene Mullendore; infant son, Brian Scott Mullendore; sons, Darrell Mullendore, Rickie Mullendore; grandsons, Michael Mullendore, Chad Mullendore; infant sister, Alice Marie; siblings, Larry Stein, and Willa Powell. Survivors include her sister, Wanda Guthrie of Texas; daughter-in-law, Gerri Mullendore of Choctaw; (5) grandchildren; (4) great-grandchildren along with other family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Lehman Funeral Home with a private burial following in the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
