Rena Fern Lowery Johnson

Rena Fern Johnson, age 75, entered her heavenly home on December 8, 2021. She was born on April 23, 1946 in Chandler, OK.

Rena was a manager at Southwestern Bell for many years. After retirement she turned her love of flowers and books into her very own store. Rena was the owner/operator of Flowers, Books, & More in Wellston. Active in the community of Wellston, Rena was a founding member of the Wellston Kiwanis Club, a member of Oklahoma Home and Community Education, and the Red Hat Society. She loved to help the people of Wellston by volunteering in ways that would benefit the town, especially the Wellston Library. She loved seeing all the kids during the children’s summer reading program. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, crochet, and learning new craft ideas whenever possible. Above all, Rena made sure that her children knew she loved them, even more than they could possibly imagine.

Rena was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Iona Lowery, siblings, Jacky Lowery, Frances Morrison, Paul and Deanna Lowery, and Barbara Green

Rena is survived by her son, Allen Johnson; daughter, Crystal Johnson; (2) grandsons, Nicollas Johnson and James Alexander; (2) great-grandchildren, Merrick Denwalt and Ryan Denwalt; brother-in-law, Tim Green; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Lehman Funeral Home on Sunday, December 12th, 2021 from noon to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Wellston, OK on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
