L.Verna Mincks Brassfield

L.Verna Brassfield was born September 18, 1936 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Walter and Maxine (Gabbard) Mincks. She passed away October 10, 2025 in Georgia at the age of 89.

L.Verna grew up in Cushing, she was a wonderful wife and mother. She adored her grandchildren and being a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling and taking care of her home and family.

L.Verna is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Lester Brassfield; son, Robert Brassfield, sisters, Patricia Spear, Joy Manning, and a young grandchild.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Shiver and husband, James of Georgia; 4 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.

A graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the Rossville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
