Warren Levon Spurgeon, a longtime Agra resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Chandler Nursing Home, Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 92. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2020 at Osage Cemetery, Agra, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Warren was born on July 11, 1928 in Agra, Oklahoma to the late Charles Levon and Mary (Boyd) Spurgeon. He grew up and attended school in Agra. Warren began working for the railroad before he was eighteen. Warren served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Warren married the love of his life Imogene Frisbie in Poteau, Oklahoma. In 1965, they moved to Agra and in 1966, he began working as a ground's keeper for O.S.U. Warren retired early at the age of 58. He enjoyed his dogs, cats, civil history and all history, guns and loved reading. Warren liked being outdoors. He loved being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Warren is survived by his daughters Brenda Howard and husband Gary of Agra, Cherry Gayetty and husband Paul of Perkins, son Gary Spurgeon of Perkins, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Imogene Spurgeon, son Larry Spurgeon, step-children Albert Byler, and Carol Calvert, siblings Anna Ahart, Theron Spurgeon, Chester Spurgeon, Rose Cochran, Charlie Spurgeon, Melvin Spurgeon, Altha Camren and Leta Potter.
