Ray Ervin Thronesbery, Jr

September 20, 1947 - May 23, 2025

Ray went to be with his Savior on Friday May 23rd, after a long battle with cancer. He was born September 20th, 1947, in Chandler, OK to Ray Ervin Thronesbery Sr. And Dorothy Hoover Thronesbery. He attended Chandler Public Schools and graduated High School in 1965. Upon graduation he joined the Army National Guard and transferred to the U.S Navy and served in Vietnam stationed in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam and Subic Bay, Philippines. He was a member of the VFW. After returning from the service, he married his wife on August 8th, 1969. Ray enjoyed Golfing, Fishing, and studying the Holy Bible. He attended the First Assembly of God church in Chandler as well as the Independent Baptist Church in Davenport. He is preceded in death by His Parents, and one Daughter, Gina Rae Thronesbery. He is survived by his wife Virgina Darlene Thronesbery and two sons, Charles Wayne Thronesbery of Davenport OK and David Michael Thronesbery and wife Hailey Thronesbery of Mesa Arizona, two grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. Graveside services are to be held Wednesday May 28th at 1:00 pm at Oak Park cemetery, Chandler OK. Visitation is held on Tuesday May 27th from 12:00-8:00pm at Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler OK.
