Janet Elsie Robbins, 91, long-time resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 28, 2025, at her home.

Janet was born on March 13, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Gilbert and Elsie (Nelson) Johnson. In 1952, she married the love of her life, James Donnell Robbins. In 1979, they relocated from Oklahoma City and made Chandler their home. James preceded her in death on November 8, 2025, after 73 years of marriage, only twenty days before her passing. Their lives together were a true love story.

Janet enjoyed a long and varied career. She worked as a star representative for McDonald's in Oklahoma City, served for ten years in the Lincoln County Court Clerk's Office in Chandler, worked for Judge Craig for three years, and later spent ten years with Union Bank in Chandler. Her professionalism, dedication, and kindness touched many throughout the community.

Janet loved to cook and crochet, but above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Elsie Johnson; her husband, James D. Robbins; a sister, Dorothy Hansard; and brother, Arthur Johnson.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Brenda Bernhardt and Jamie Herring and husband, Ray; her grandchildren, Christopher Herring, Jessica (Herring) Byres, Cole Bernhardt, and Kate (Bernhardt) Hamstra; and her great-grandchildren, Emersyn Herring, Willow Hamstra, Oliver Hamstra, and James Bernhardt. She is also survived by a host of extended family members and dear friends.
