Carol enjoyed being around livestock and rarely met a dog or horse she couldn't train including success on some cats.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ada; husbands, Jerry South, Carl Herndon; sisters, Betty King, Cheryl Coleman, Robin Shamblin; stepsons, Carl Dean and Robert Herndon.
