Barbara "Joann" Fritz

Barbara "Joann" Fritz, age 79, passed away on April 8, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joann was born on October 11, 1943, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to the late Joe and Grace Ragsdale. She grew up in Chandler, Oklahoma and graduated from Chandler High School in 1961. Shortly after graduation, she wanted to see the big world, so she moved to Oklahoma City. She moved to Ft. Worth, Texas in 1963 for a couple of years before moving back to Oklahoma City permanently. She worked various jobs within the service industry and worked full-time while raising her children. She was a hardworking and dedicated employee and was highly favored by her customers and well respected by her coworkers.

Joann retired from Hometown Buffet in 2005 and happily spent time tending to her home, flower garden, traveling with George and helping her kids whenever they needed it.

She is survived by her husband George of 43 years, daughters Delania Glover and husband Ted, Johnna Harvey, son Matthew Harvey, grandson Brixtin Harvey and wife Megan, of Greensboro, NC, son-of-the-heart Jesse Swatek, and his daughter Emily, along with many other family, friends, and kiddos she has mothered over the years.
