Velma Louise George Dale

Velma Louise (George) Dale was born May 2, 1929 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to James and Jessie (Jones) George. She passed away May 17, 2023 in Chandler at the age of 94.

Velma married the love of her life, Louis Dale on December 23, 1945 and they raised four daughters together. She was preceded in death by her parents, James George and Jessie Brown; husband of 73 years, Louis Dale; and her sister, Gloria Gipson. Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Schmidt, Vickie Foulks and her husband Roger, Debbie Dale, Natalie Ussrey and her husband Tony; 1 grandson, Derik Ussrey and his wife D.J.; (7) granddaughters, Angela Kelley and her husband Mark, Christon Cummings and her husband Rafe, April Stanley and her husband Derek, Elizabeth Ussrey, Jessica Dooley, Desiree' McAlpin and her husband Terrick ,Ashlyn Goswick and her husband Wesley, (18) great-grandchildren, (5) great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gary Dale along with many other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May, 23, 2023 in the Chandler First Assembly of God Church with interment following in the Oak Park Cemetery where Velma will be laid to rest next to her husband, Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
