MAX EUGENE YARBROUGH
1939 - 2016


Max Eugene Yarbrough was born June 7, 1939 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Ervin Wallace Yarbrough and Mary Ruth Ferguson.
He passed away April 30, 2016 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 76.
Max was very proud of his Choctaw Heritage. He was a talented artist creating beadwork moccasins and other Indian regalia. How enjoyed Pow-wow dancing and won in some competitions.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army Calvary Division.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Max was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Yarbrough.
Survivors include his wife, Dinah Abercrombie Yarbrough of the home; daughters, Tanya Turner of Ridgecrest, California, Angela Barber of Heavener, Oklahoma and Cynra Canaan and her husband Scott of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Geral Yarbrough and his wife Sharon and Sheran Closson and many other family and friends.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
