DARVIN M. WOLFF
1933 - 2007


Darvin M. Wolff, known to his family and friends as “Bud”, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007 in the Drumright Hospital at the age of 73 years.
The son of the late Julius Wolff and Martha Fandrey Wolff, Bud was born on September 3, 1933 in Avery, Oklahoma and was reared and educated in this area.
He was united in marriage to Marsha Wynn on July 29, 1957 in Cushing and to this union four children, Darvin Jr., Lisa, Jon and Robyn were born. Marsha preceded him in death on August 23, 1993.
In the early 1960’s, Bud owned and operated a produce company, later working for Kerr-McGee refinery and Hudson Refinery, before going into full time in the roofing business. He had roofed for over 22 years prior to his retirement in 1999. He recently had owned and operated the Wolff’s Wares Store on Main Street, having to fully retire due to his health.
Bud was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer; he enjoyed working with wood, talking to people and he was very proud of the fact that he was the President of the Liar’s Club, a position that he appointed himself.
He was married to Elaine Meadows on February 14, 1994 in Oklahoma City and the couple renewed their vows in the Lutheran Church in Cushing on August 21, 1994.
Survivors include his wife Elaine of the home; his children, Lisa Wilkins of Miami, Oklahoma; Jon Wolff of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Robyn Taylor and her husband Paul of Norman, Oklahoma; stepchildren, LuAnn Lynch and her husband John of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Scott Fairley and his wife Cathy of McQueeney, Texas; his grandchildren, Brek Wilkins, Quinn Wilkins, Faith Wilkins, Christopher Wolff, Bradleigh Wolff, Nicholas Taylor and Paul Taylor, Jr.; step-grandchildren, Michelle Ottke and her husband Keith; Trey Lynch, Paula Robinson and Robbie Robinson; great-grandchildren, Landon, Lathan, Kaleb, Cailyn and Kylie; four sisters, Ida Baedke of Plano, Texas; Norma Jacobs of Kansas City, Kansas; Darlene Baedke of Council Bluff, Iowa; and Velma Brown of Cushing; a sister-in-law Dorothy Wolff of Cushing; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Brown of Cushing; and Harold Baedke of Council Bluff, Iowa; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including his co-pilot and special little dog “Sassy”.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Darvin M. Wolff, Jr.; seven sisters, Hildegard {Hilda} Dahlke, Elizabeth Heisler Fisk, Amanda Baedke, Erna Fisk, Hertha Wyatt, Martha Bradley and Selma Wolff; five brothers, Clemen Wolff, Alfred Wolff, Julius “Jack” Wolff, Herman Wolff and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer with Pastor David Helmer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will greet friends in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
