CLARA MAE WALLIS
1924 - 2003


Clara Mae Capps Wallis was born on January 1, 1924, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, November 4, 2003, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 79.
Mae, a lifelong resident of Paden, was the daughter of Joseph and Leacy Holder Capps.
She married Alfred Clinton Wallis on May 28, 1941, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1990 after 49 years of marriage.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Paden First Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Collene Wallis on January 1, 2003.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Wallis of Paden, Oklahoma, Johnnie and Kay Wallis of Paden, Oklahoma, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Clyde Burger of Sparks, Oklahoma, sister, Bertha Adams of Paden, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Paden, Oklahoma, with Rev. Ledtkey McIntosh officiating.
Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery in Paden, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
