MORGAN E. WALKER
1918 - 1999


Former Wewoka resident Morgan E. Walker, 80, of Rusk, Texas, died Wednesday in Jacksonville, Texas.
He was born July 17, 1918, in Payson. He had lived in Rusk, Texas for four years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rusk, Texas and had retired from Pan American Petroleum Company, Elmore City.
He became a 32nd degree Mason in 1975 and was a member of the Eastern Star, Wewoka. He was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He served in the U. S. Army's 45th Division during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Wannetta Walker of Rusk, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Elwanda Walker of Wewoka, daughter and son-in-law, Moretta {Marty} and Jim Lucas of Rusk, Texas, grandson, Clay Lucas of Rusk, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Nita Walker of Oklahoma City, sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and Richard Melson of Chandler, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Walker of Chandler and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. at Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler with the Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.
